My philosophy
I am passionate about supporting others in their life journey. I have been working as therapist since 1994, helping children, adults and families find tools and strategies to grow and thrive.
I’ve seen first-hand how important it is for everyone, regardless of age, to be able to communicate about their feelings openly and feel heard.
Many behavioural issues are created or worsened by unmet emotional needs. If these remain unaddressed, the problem behaviour can’t be resolved.
Biography
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a BA in Psychology and Music from the University of Guelph and a Bachelor of Music Therapy from Capilano University in BC.
I have deep experience with children with special needs, working within the school system as well as community organizations.
I also provide culturally responsive and trauma informed clinical therapy to First Nations, Métis, and Inuit children and their families. I hold a San’yas Indigenous Cultural Safety Certificate.
My ongoing professional development training helps me integrate many ways of working into my practice.
I seek to help people find peace and balance in their lives.
